life is easy and comfortable on beniSland. I have been rather lazy in the last three weeks, often having to check what day it is. I don’t do much, attend to the gardens (not good this year) and animals, go for walks in the backyard, read about my hobbies, do a couple stretches and cook yummy food.
It was that time of the month yesterday; low tide in the evening, I was keen for a kai of fish and conditions were kind of good on my side of the Island. Since there was a 2 m swell on the east coast and the north westerly was still blowing hard, the decision was made to fish in Tryphena. Unfortunately, the shop was out of berley, so I grabbed a bag of pilchards and a bag of squid instead.
When it comes to fishing, you just can’t top rockfishing or as some people say LBG (land-based-game fishing). I’m going to stick with the term rockfishing as LBG implies that you do a bit more than simply casting out a piece of dead bait from the rocks and hoping to catch the big one.
